제가 제일 처음 썼던 곡은
that kind of dictated everything was Hotter Than Hell.
앨범 전체에 영향을 준 곡이기도 한 Hotter Than Hell 이란 곡이에요
When I started writing that song
제가 이 곡을 쓰기 시작했을 때
it was initially quite a sad song
원래는 슬픈 곡이었어요
as I came out of a really awful breakup and I was..
그 당시에 제가 정말 안 좋게 헤어지고 난 뒤였거든요. 그래서...
I just felt like I wasn’t good enough
‘내가 그렇게 부족한가?’라는 느낌이 드는 거예요
but I didn’t want that person to know that I felt like that
그런데 그런 감정을 그 사람에게 들키고 싶진 않았거든요
so I kind of had this false sense of confidence for that song
그래서 이 곡에 비록 가짜지만 자신감 넘치는 모습을 담고자 했죠
and then as I was writing it I started getting over the situation
그렇게 마음먹고 곡을 쓰다 보니까 조금씩 극복되더라구요
and I felt more empowered
그리고 힘도 더 나는듯 했구요
